WWE will stage its first women's Hell in a Cell match

Sasha Banks and Charlotte's women's match of the year contender last week was the first time two women main evented Monday Night Raw since 2004, and later this month in Boston, the pair are set to make history by having the first WWE Women's Championship match inside Hell in a Cell.

Roman Reigns and Rusev are already scheduled to wrestle inside the gigantic cage at the next Raw-exclusive pay-per-view October 30th, and Banks opened Monday night's episode of Raw by daring Charlotte to wrestle her inside the cell.

For those unfamiliar with the match type, "Hell in a Cell" is a special type of singles match where a 20-foot tall cell surrounds the ring. Competitors often break through the walls and climb to the top, where wrestlers are sometimes thrown off or, in the case of Shane McMahon, willingly jump.

Hell in a Cell matches have the potential to be tremendously dangerous. Given the fact that both Banks and Charlotte have been consistently pushing the envelope with jaw-dropping (and risky) spots, along with Banks' track record in matches against Charlotte (she was injured at SummerSlam when Charlotte dropped her on her head), fans wil understandably be holding their breath for the entirety of the match.

Charlotte accepted Banks' challenge, and though Michael Cole clarified that general manager Mick Foley still has to approve the match, there's little chance WWE doesn't allow this to happen after setting the table for it. [UPDATE]: Foley approved the match, and then announced that Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens will also wrestle inside the cell.

In an interview with Fox Sports conducted just before Raw, Bayley told us that women in the division want the opportunity to show they can compete in every type of match that the men do.
