On Tuesday night (October 11, 2016), SmackDown Live stopped in San Jose, California where AJ Styles took on James Ellsworth with Dean Ambrose as the Guest Referee. Daniel Bryan added in the stipulation that if AJ put hands on Ambrose he would be fined or suspended for doing so. After making life difficult for Styles, Ambrose hit him with two Dirty Deeds, giving the surprising win to Ellsworth over the WWE Champion.

Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan challenged Raw to three Survivor Series elimination matches; singles, tag teams, and women. Will Raw accept the challenge to see which show is the more dominant one?

In other action, Naomi took on Carmella, with Nikki Bella making an appearance to chase off her nemesis. Randy Orton teamed up with Kane to battle against Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt, with the Wyatt Family using their usual tricks to get the win. Finally, The Miz mourned the loss of his IC title and Dolph Ziggler fought off The Spirit Squad (for full coverage on the entire show, check out our review).
