WWE Rumors: Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose to Briefly Reunite?

WWE could be planning a spot to reunite The Shield at one of the joint pay-per-views.

Since The Shield split in June 2014, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose have gone in different directions. Rollins and Reigns have been most notably featured in a WrestleMania main event, while Ambrose’s first WWE World Championship reign just concluded. This marked all three having held a world title since the faction ended.

Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose reunited one time since, teaming in a six-man tag match on Raw. However, this came with The Architect as the heel and the other two as babyfaces. It didn’t set up a clean dynamic. They also had a spot at WWE Payback 2015, but the moment lasted for about one minute.

Well, it seems WWE may be looking to do another get-together between the former Shield members. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that with them all being babyfaces, WWE might do a reuniting spot with Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins at a joint pay-per-view. It could be Survivor Series or Royal Rumble.

These three reuniting for one night, especially as babyfaces, would get a sight for sore eyes. It hasn’t been seen since their match against Evolution at WWE Payback 2014.

Who they could face would be an interesting call. If AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson are still The Club, then this six-man match might work. Maybe, it’s a brief moment, like at Payback ’15.

Whatever the case may be, any type of reuniting would be brief. Ambrose is on SmackDown, and Reigns and Rollins are on Raw. Something couldn’t work, unless there’s a roster trade. We saw this on SmackDown with Jack Swagger officially switching brands.

So, we may be in for a Shield reunion with Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose soon. Would you want to see this happen?
