WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Lince Dorado

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak considers himself the law of WWE 205 Live, but at WWE Clash of Champions, he will test the rules of nature against the high-flying acrobatics of Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado in a Triple Threat Match.

Gulak and Carrillo are no stranger to one another. Early in his tenure in the Cruiserweight division, Carrillo found himself under the tutelage of The Philadelphia Stretcher, who hoped to teach the Mexican Superstar a more ground-based attack. After a falling out, Carrillo defeated Gulak in singles competition, though that was before Gulak’s outlook changed and he became the dominant champion his is today.

After an impressive showing in the Captain’s Challenge 10-Man Tag Team Elimination Match – specifically against his cousin Angel Garza – Carrillo stood victorious, claiming the win as the only member of his team left standing besides Oney Lorcan. While Lorcan hoped his team’s success would grant him another Cruiserweight Championship opportunity, WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick felt Carrillo’s performance warranted a greater opportunity.

As a result, Lorcan and Carrillo squared off on WWE 205 Live in a thrilling contest that saw Carrillo claim his first chance to compete for the championship. However, after defeating Lorcan, Carrillo was confronted by Lince Dorado – who has not bought into the hype surrounding the Mexican Superstar. The Golden Lynx believed that if he were given the same opportunities as Carrillo, then he would be facing Gulak. As a result, Carrillo challenge Dorado to a match, and Maverick added the stipulation that if Dorado won, he would be added to the match at WWE Clash of Champions.

Following a fast-paced and high-flying contest, Dorado emerged victorious, earning a title opportunity.

Will Gulak remain the law of WWE 205 Live and turn back Carrillo and Dorado, who seem preoccupied with one another, or will a new WWE Cruiserweight Champion be crowned?
