TNA Rumors: Dixie Carter Being Blamed for Sale Issues

With Dixie Carter still having majority control of TNA amidst the ongoing sale, things aren’t looking good for her backstage. What is Bound for Glory’s status?

TNA’s status for Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, and future afterward is in doubt. Billy Corgan recently noted that it could be the end of TNA or a new direction for the company. Dixie Carter, who is the majority owner of the 14-year-old promotion, is choosing between who to sell it to.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Carter is being blamed for the ongoing situation’s issues. Dave Meltzer said, “There are a lot of hurdles and games being played.” The 51-year-old doesn’t have the money to make the upcoming shows go on as scheduled, which reportedly costs about $600,000. As of this writing, no one is able to fund it.

Meltzer continued with this on Carter: “Now I know the same BS is still going back-and-forth. She is something else. I’ve never met someone so clueless. She is out of touch on all levels. Both sides want her out. There is no doubt there. It’s the only thing they can agree on.”

The last thing noted had been that a deal needs to be completed on Friday, otherwise Bound for Glory will not take place.

TNA’s issues have clearly reached a boiling point where one side has to budge, potentially Carter. To keep the company alive, putting it in Corgan’s hands would seem to be the best bet. However, given the ongoing situation, that’s far from a guarantee.

The future of TNA may be decided by September 30th, with Dixie Carter being the one to decide what happens. Not having Bound for Glory take place would be disastrous and embarrassing. It’s their biggest show of the year, and would let them the talent and the fans.
