TNA Rumors: Billy Corgan Files Lawsuit Against TNA, Dixie Carter

After weeks of speculation on the company’s future, Billy Corgan is reportedly suing TNA, Dixie Carter, and others.

The future of TNA has been in doubt for weeks, arguably months. Talk of Dixie Carter selling her majority stake in the company came up, and it seemed like something would get done. Billy Corgan had been the leader to take over ownership, especially after becoming the President of TNA. However, it has been weeks of speculation since. This includes WWE reportedly buying the TNA video library at one point, but never came to fruition.

Throughout this, Carter’s name had been brought up as an issue for getting a deal done. It seems that Corgan has wanted to buy TNA, but they haven’t been able to agree to terms.

Well, as of Thursday, that may not be changing because according to PW Insider, The Smashing Pumpkins lead singer is filing a lawsuit against TNA, its parent company Impact Ventures LLC, Dixie Carter, her husband Serg Salias, and TNA Chief Financial Officer Dean Broadhead.

This situation is developing into an ugly one for Corgan, who had wanted to buy TNA. However, he did note in an interview on The Dan Le Batard Show that he hoped for a “miracle” with the company and Bound for Glory. While the latter happened, the future remains unknown. TNA taped shows that will run through the rest of the year. But after that is unclear.

December or early 2017 will be an interesting one for TNA. Not only might the future of the company be determined, but there could be fallout from the lawsuit. That’s if it gets completed anytime soon, though. The result could always lead to the resolution for TNA’s status, or be its “Final Deletion”.
