Becky Lynch Returning on WWE SmackDown, November 1

Becky Lynch will be making her return on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown.

Becky Lynch had been set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss at the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view. Bliss had won a No. 1 Contender’s match setting this up at the show, but it never happened. Lynch got injured some time before No Mercy, so WWE postponed the match. The specific ailment never got diagnosed.

Five Feet of Fierce wouldn’t lose her title shot, though, as they’re going to battle for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on November 8. This will be on an episode of SmackDown in Glasgow, Scotland.

Well, one week before this match happens, Lynch will make her return. WWE announced on Friday that she’ll be in Green Bay, WI for Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown. They didn’t note if she would be wrestling or not. AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose in a No. 1 Contender’s match, and Bray Wyatt vs. Kane in a No Disqualification match will also take place.

This return will come just over two weeks after the No Mercy match was canceled. So, whatever injury The Irish Lass Kicker had must have been minor.

November 8 will be the first title defense of Lynch’s since winning the championship at Backlash. She’ll be doing this in familiar territory in the United Kingdom, so it could be somewhat of a hometown defense.

Bliss and Lynch have faced each other before in singles and tag action, though. Each time the latter won, so could there be an upset in the making next Tuesday?

Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown should be an intriguing one. It will set the stage for the first time the Women’s Championship has been defended on Blue Brand TV since the WWE Draft, and lead to a potentially epic encounter one week later.
