Texas freshman Boothe transfers to Northwest Florida State

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Texas freshman forward Rellah Boothe has left the Longhorns program to transfer to Northwest Florida State College.

A Texas spokesman on Monday confirmed the move. The Florida native was one of the top recruits in the country when she signed with Texas out of IMG Academy. She struggled to find playing time last season and was twice suspended. She was left off the roster for the NCAA Tournament as Texas advanced to the Sweet 16 for the fourth consecutive year.

Boothe averaged 5.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 19 games.
