No. 3 Notre Dame women beat No. 18 Tennessee 79-66

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) Brianna Turner and Arike Ogunbowale each scored 14 points and third-ranked Notre Dame got 24 points off turnovers to beat No. 18 Tennessee 79-66 on Monday night.

The Irish forced five turnovers during a 15-2 run in the second quarter and six more during another 15-2 burst in the third quarter, opening a 57-39 lead. Tennessee committed 20 turnovers overall, its fourth straight game of at least 19.

Kathryn Westbeld added 13 points for Notre Dame on 6-of-7 shooting.

Diamond DeShields, Tennessee's leading scorer at 15.3 points a game, was late coming out for the second half and went to the bench with her right shoulder taped. She returned with 4:07 left in the third quarter and finished with 17 points.

The Irish (17-1) beat the Lady Vols (11-6) for the sixth straight time after losing the first 20 games in the series.
