Gonzaga roars back to top No. 22 Dayton, 75-65

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) Gonzaga roared back from an 11-point halftime deficit pulling away down the stretch to knock off No. 22 Dayton, 75-65 in the Bulldogs debut under first-year coach Lisa Fortier Sunday.

Fortier took over the program after Kelly Graves moved on to coach at Oregon.

Gonzaga outscored Dayton in the second half, 51-31, behind an 18-point effort by Sherbert. Albanez added 14 points and Sunny Greinacher 10.

Andrea Hoover led Dayton with 20 points, converting 10 of 11 shots from the line. Kelley Austria added 16 points, but the Flyers struggled from the field, hitting 20 of 65 (30.8 percent).
