CS Northridge fires women's hoops coach

Cal State Northridge has fired women's basketball coach Staci Schulz after five seasons.

Athletics director Rick Mazzuto said Friday that he decided the program needs to move in a different direction.

Schulz had a 36-109 overall record and a 20-46 mark in the Big West Conference during her tenure. She spent three seasons as an assistant before being elevated to the top job.
