Caitlin Clark scoring record tracker: What's next after passing Pete Maravich?
Caitlin Clark made history once again on Sunday, breaking the Division I record for total points scored, surpassing Pete Maravich's 3,667 points.
The Iowa star broke the record right before halftime in the Hawkeyes' 93-83 win over No. 2 Ohio State, scoring 35 points in the regular-season finale. Clark's latest record achievement came just over two weeks after she became the Division I women's basketball all-time leading scorer, breaking Kelsey Plum's record (3,527 points) on Feb. 16.
She also surpassed AIAW large-college record-holder Lynette Woodard (3,649 points) on Feb. 28.
As Iowa turns its focus to the Big Ten Tournament, Clark has 3,685 career points, still trailing AIAW small-college leader Pearl Moore (4,061).

Entering the postseason, Clark is averaging 32.3 points this season and 33.3 points against Big Ten opponents.
Clark recently announced that this season will be her last in the college game, forgoing her extra year of eligibility to declare for the WNBA Draft.
How many points per game does Clark need to score in order to surpass Moore's mark?
As she trails Moore's mark by 376 points entering the postseason, Clark would need to bump her season average by nearly 10 points if she hopes to surpass Moore before her college career ends. Clark would need to score at least 41.9 points per game through the postseason, as the maximum number of games Iowa can still play is nine.
Iowa making it to both the Big Ten title game and the NCAA title game is certainly doable, especially considering that it won the conference tournament last year before losing to LSU in the national title game.
But even in her memorable postseason run last year, Clark scored 29.4 points per game between the Big Ten and NCAA tournaments.

Indeed, she is!
Clark's 8.7 assists per game this season is the best mark in women's college basketball.
She has averaged at least eight assists per game in each of the last two years.
Entering the postseason, Clark's 1,058 career assists rank sixth all-time among Division I women's players. Suzie McConnell's record of 1,307 assists is likely out of reach for Clark, but she's 30 assists away from entering the top five, 60 assists away from entering the top three and 107 assists away from moving into second.
