Tom 'Kong' Watson vs Nick Catone added to UFC 169 Super Bowl weekend

Heavy handed British knockout artist Tom 'Kong' Watson will bring his colorful entrance and performance state side for his next bout when he faces wrestler Nick Catone at UFC 169 taking place on Feb 1 during Super Bowl weekend in New Jersey.

Always known for his unique style walking to the cage, Watson (16-6) is best recognized by his flash and flare inside the cage where he's picked up eight career wins by knockout or TKO. His UFC career has gotten off to a bit of a rough start, however, as Watson has gone 1-2 thus far and looks to get back to form after a loss to Thales Leites at UFC 163 in his last bout.

Watson loves to stand and trade, but he's going to have to work on his takedown defense for his next bout as he steps into his opponent's backyard for their fight at UFC 169.

New Jersey native Nick Catone (9-4) will be competing close to home for the third time in his UFC career as he hopes to avoid a dreaded third loss in a row after dropping back-to-back fights in recent bouts.

A hard-nosed wrestler at heart, Catone has to know that a win is paramount if he wants to avoid a potential cut from the UFC so his bout against Watson could be one of the biggest of his entire career.

Watson vs. Catone will occupy a slot on the preliminary card for the UFC 169 show headlined by two title fights with Dominick Cruz facing Renan Barao for the bantamweight belt while Jose Aldo takes on Ricardo Lamas with the featherweight strap on the line.

The final bout order for the card has not been announced yet by the UFC.
