Ronda Rousey is biting apples to prove she's recovered from the Holly Holm KO

Ronda Rousey is ready to show off how much she's recovered since suffering a knockout loss to Holly Holm last November, and it involves chomping on an apple.

As strange as that might sound, Rousey actually referenced that activity when talking for the first time after suffering the brutal head kick KO last November in Australia.

"It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact," Rousey said in early December just weeks after losing to Holm.

There was even unfounded speculation that Rousey had a broken jaw following the fight although UFC president Dana White later explained that the former women's bantamweight champion actually just had a severely damaged lip as a result of the battle with Holm.

Whatever damage was done, Rousey was obviously worried enough to voice her concerns in the weeks following her fight, but the good news it appears she's finally back to full health again.

Rousey posted a video talking about "breaking news" before taking a big bite out of an apple, which she said was the first time she's done that since before the fight with Holm at UFC 193.

"Here's my breaking news — you ready? This just as of last night," Rousey teased while speaking via Uniterrupted. "No problem, I'm biting apples again. I'm pretty excited about this. That's it."

In other words, whatever injuries Rousey suffered from the impact of the knockout appear to be healed in just about four months' time.

Rousey has been out of action since the fight with Holm. She's not expected to return to the UFC until October or November due to her busy movie schedule during the first half of the year.

When she does come back it appears Rousey will be staring at a title shot against new champion Miesha Tate, although chances are she definitely will target a rematch with Holm at some point in the near future as well.
