Myles Jury out; Paul Felder faces Edson Barboza at FOX UFC Fight Night in Chicago
Myles Jury has been forced out of his upcoming bout at FOX UFC Fight Night in Chicago so Paul Felder will step in to replace him against Edson Barboza on the upcoming card set for July 25.
Sources close to the contest informed FOX Sports of the news with UFC officials confirming the move on Tuesday.
Details about Jury's exit from the card were not available, but he was no longer able to fight on the upcoming July show and Felder accepted the spot to replace him.
Felder accepts the fight with about seven weeks until the card takes place following his 'Performance of the Night' from his last bout where he knocked out Danny Castillo with a spinning back fist in the first round.
Felder is still undefeated in his MMA career and considered one of the brightest young stars on the roster. He'll get a decided step up in competition for his next bout as he takes on one of the most dangerous strikers on the entire UFC roster.
Barboza is well known for his blistering Muay Thai attack including leg kicks that have finished two different opponents inside the Octagon.
Felder vs. Barboza joins the FOX UFC Fight Night card in Chicago headlined by the bantamweight title rematch pitting T.J. Dillashaw against Renan Barao in the main event.
