Kimbo Slice wants to fight Butterbean
Kimbo Slice made his way back into the spotlight this week courtesy of TMZ. The heavyweight street fighter/mma fighter/boxer is looking to pick a fight with former IBA Super Heavyweight champ, Butterbean.
Oh, boy.
Kimbo was a cast member in the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter and went on to have a short two-fight career in the UFC that ended from a TKO loss at the hands of Matt Mitrione. Slice has since moved on to professional boxing and is currently undefeated with a record of 7-0.
This isn't the first time these fighters have talked about facing each other. Butterbean expressed his interest to FightLine.com back in 2008 about wanting to fight Slice.
"I would love to fight Kimbo Slice, a good friend of mine is training him. I would love to fight him, Kimbo came out and stood up with Tank Abbott and knocked him out, but he wouldn’t do that with me. It would be a heck of a fight, but I would knock out Kimbo Slice before the fight got too far though."
Fast-forward five and a half years and the prospect of this fight still sounds like a fun idea.
