Jon Jones and Demetrious Johnson taunt Conor McGregor with photo

Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has said that featherweight title holder Conor McGregor sent kind, encouraging words to him while he went through some lows in the past year. "Bones" said he appreciated that kindness.

He probably didn't appreciate McGregor brushing him off when asked who the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in MMA is, however. "He's not," McGregor recently said, before UFC 196, about Jones.

"I'm No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and maybe Jon and 'Mighty Mouse' [Demetrious Johnson] is 10. That's what I feel."

Well, Jones and Johnson were both in Las Vegas this past Saturday and saw McGregor lose to Nate Diaz up-close and personal. After he did, the pair teamed up to taunt McGregor on Jones' Instagram account.

"So much for being 12345678&9," Jones wrote, alongside a photo (below) with Jones holding up a single finger, and Johnson holding up two. So much for McGregor and Jones having one another's back.
