Henry Cejudo vs. Sergio Pettis joins stacked UFC 211 lineup

UFC 211 is stacking up to be the biggest show of the year thus far and rich just got richer.

Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo will return to action against rising flyweight star Sergio Pettis on May 13 in Dallas.

UFC officials announced the new matchup on Tuesday.

The fight will give Cejudo a chance to bounce back from two consecutive losses to the top pair of flyweights in the sport after falling short against Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez in consecutive fights.

Cejudo (10-2) showed marked improvements in the bout with Benavidez, but now he'll look to climb back up to title contention beginning with his fight in May against one of the most promising prospects in the division.

Pettis (15-2) has won his last three fights in a row, including a unanimous decision victory over former title contender John Moraga in his last outing.

Pettis will need to be on top of his game when he faces Cejudo in May as each of the flyweights will look to make a dramatic statement with a win. UFC 211 will be headlined by a pair of title fights, including heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic facing Junior Dos Santos and Joanna Jedrzejczyk taking on Jessica Andrade.
