Green vs. Trujillo on deck for UFC 169

Bobby Green and Abel Trujillo both picked up big wins at last weekend's FOX UFC card from Sacramento so now they will be paired off opposite of each other in a lightweight bout at UFC 169 on Feb 1 in Newark, New Jersey.

UFC officials announced the fight on Thursday.

Currently riding a seven fight win streak, Bobby Green (22-5) was a welcome addition to the UFC's lightweight division after fighting in Strikeforce for most of 2011 and 2012. Green dispatched of Jacob Volkmann in his debut before a controversial win over James Krause in November.

Green put the adversity behind him and picked up a big win over Pat Healy last weekend in an impressive performance over a true veteran and tough challenge in the lightweight division.

Abel Trujillo (11-5 (1 NC) made short work of Roger Bowling last weekend to settle their rivalry after their first fight ended in a no contest due to illegal knees on the ground. Trujillo put on a blistering performance to batter and bloody Bowling before getting the second round stoppage.

Now the lightweight competitor out of the Blackzilian camp in Florida will take on Green in a fight that's sure to produce fireworks.
