Flyweight contender Brad Pickett meets Chico Camus in Austin

Everything is bigger in Texas -- except for a pair of flyweights.

UFC flyweight contender Brad Pickett meets Chico Camus at UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 on Nov. 22 in Austin, the UFC announced Tuesday night. The bout is pivotal for both men, who are trying to gain their footing in the crowded 125-pound division.

Pickett (24-9), ranked No. 11 among flyweight contenders, is known as one of the more exciting fighters in the lighter weight classes. The former bantamweight dropped down to flyweight earlier this year and has had mixed results. The Brit didn't look all that great in beating Neil Seery by unanimous decision in March and then fell to Ian McCall by decision in July.

The 36-year-old Pickett, who has seven fight-night bonuses in UFC/WEC, considered a move back to 135, but it looks like he's going to stick it out.

Camus (13-5, 1 NC), making his flyweight debut, is coming off a loss to Chris Holdsworth at UFC 173 in May. Before that, he had beaten Yaotzin Meza in January, except the fight was overturned into a no contest when Camus failed a post-fight drug test for marijuana. Overall in the UFC, the Milwaukee native is just 2-2 with a no contest. A win over Pickett would be the biggest of his career by far.

UFC Fight Night on FOX Sports 1 from the Frank Erwin Center still does not have an announced main event. But this is the second important flyweight bout to be booked after Joseph Benavidez vs. Dustin Ortiz.
