Dominick Cruz claims a completely different profession when picking up women
Dominick Cruz isn't going around flaunting to the ladies that he's the best 135-pound fighter in the world. In fact, the two-time champion doesn't even reveal that he's a professional fighter.
TMZ caught Cruz on the streets of L.A., where the 31-year-old said that he claims a much less dangerous (albeit more boring) profession when trying to pick up women.
"I try not to tell them, actually, as ironic as that is," Cruz said. "Because it makes things weird. You don't know if they are just talking to you because you're that, or if they actually care. I tell them I sell memberships at a gym. That's my go-to. If they walk away, then perfect, that's exactly the kind of girl I don't want to hang out with anyway."
Cruz doesn't have time for superficial interactions. But he could see himself making some time for newly-single Australia rapper Iggy Azalea.
Azalea recently broke off her engagement NBA guard Nick Young and Cruz wants her to know: his DMs are open.
"Man, Iggy Azalea," Cruz said. "You're beautiful, do whatever you want. I think you can do whatever you want. The only thing is, I'm not 7-feet tall but I'll stand on these stairs if you want. Whatever, you let me know ... hit me up."
