Conor McGregor in viral kangaroo fight video is so much better

Somebody edited Conor McGregor into the video of a man punching a kangaroo, and it’s something that you need in your life.

A few days ago, a video of a man punching a kangaroo that was attacking his dog went viral. In the past five days, it’s garnered over 26 million views on YouTube alone, and it reminded the world that Australians — especially ones that are dog owners — are not to be messed with. In case you still haven’t seen it, here’s a refresher:

But Ireland is a proud fighting nation, and if there’s one person who reminds us of that constantly, it’s Conor McGregor. In just three years, he has taken the UFC by storm, having smashed every record imaginable and becoming the first person ever to hold two belts at once.

By now, we all know how he fares against humans in hand-to-hand combat, but how would he match up against a kangaroo? Thanks to Twitter, we know the answer to that:

Unlike the Aussie man, McGregor is actually able to beat the kangaroo into submission, rather than jab him once and just stand there. It makes an already great viral video even better. And thanks to this person, if somebody else wants to try and edit that video, they’ll have to drastically up their game.

This isn’t the only trend that McGregor has borrowed. Whenever he walks into the ring, he uses Vince McMahon’s famous strut, but because of the success it brings him, everyone refers to it as the McGregor strut now. It’s a testament to his fame, and the reason he’s become so big in such a short period of time.

While Conor’s a fighter first, he’s always been a showman. He’s more famous for what he does outside of the cage than what he does inside of it. Because of it, many believe he’d do well in the WWE, but for now, he’s content to reunite with Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. Until then, this video should prove that he’ll thrive in the entertainment industry.
