Anthony Pettis' cars torched in suspected arson attack at his home

Former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis was the victim of a suspected arson attack after three of his cars were set on fire at his home.

According to a report from FOX 6 in Milwaukee, the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Thursday after an unknown suspect used an accelerant to torch two of Pettis' vehicles before fire spread to a third vehicle in his driveway.

A neighbor reported they saw a car speeding through the neighborhood just before a loud explosion was heard as Pettis' vehicles ignited in flames.

Police were notified immediately and authorities showed up along with the fire department to put out the blaze before any serious damage was done to the house. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

"Right around the same time as that happened, there was kind of a large bang," Pettis' neighbor Carson Blaszak said. "It was three cars caught on fire. I just, I ran outside, and I was hoping, you know, the house hopefully wasn't gonna catch on fire."

Pettis hasn't made any comment on the matter and messages from FOX Sports to his representatives at First Round Management were unreturned as of the time of publication.

It's unclear if Pettis was home during the attack on his vehicles.

Most recently, Pettis had taken a trip to Thailand for training with photos posted on his Instagram account as recently as a few days ago.

Pettis just inked the deal for his next fight as he faces Max Holloway at UFC 206 in Toronto on Dec. 10. Pettis splits his time between his home in Milwaukee as well as Albuquerque, New Mexico where he trains at Jackson's MMA in preparation for upcoming fights.
