Amanda Nunes steps up to face Sarah Kaufman at the TUF Nations Finale

With less than two weeks to go until the Ultimate Fighter Nations finale card, Amanda Nunes has accepted a bout against Sarah Kaufman following an injury suffered by Shayna Baszler earlier this week.

UFC officials confirmed on Thursday that Nunes will step into the fight taking place on April 16 in Quebec City, Quebec against the former Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion.

Nunes (9-3) was one of the top bantamweight prospects during her time with Strikeforce and since coming to the UFC she's racked up a 2-0 record with dominant, TKO finishes in both bouts.

The Brazilian fighter was originally scheduled to fight three days later at the FOX UFC Saturday card in Orlando against Alexis Dufresne, but instead will now face Kaufman at the TUF Nations finale in Canada.

UFC officials have stated that Dufresne will be moved off the Orlando card on April 19 and shifted to a later date with a new opponent.

Kaufman vs. Nunes will remain as a preliminary fight on the TUF Nations card taking place on April 16.
