Aljamain Sterling vs. Bryan Caraway booked for UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas

Top bantamweight prospect Aljamain Sterling will finally get his wish when he faces Bryan Caraway at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on May 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

UFC officials announced the fight on Thursday night.

Sterling has been itching for a showdown with Caraway for months, but it wasn't until now that he finally landed the fight.

A top five ranked fighter at 135 pounds, Sterling is largely considered one of the biggest threats in the bantamweight division with championship talent and after signing a new multi-fight contract with the UFC several weeks ago, he's anxious to climb that much closer to a title shot.

Sterling has gone after Caraway several times on twitter over the last few months trying to land the fight with the former "Ultimate Fighter" competitor and now they will finally meet in the Octagon.

Caraway has been out of action since last July when he won a decision over former title challenger Eddie Wineland at FOX UFC Fight Night in Chicago.

Since that time, Caraway has dealt with injuries and personal issues that kept him from accepting fights, but now he'll step back into the deep end of the bantamweight division as he meets Sterling in May.

Sterling vs. Caraway is the latest fight added to the UFC Fight Night card in Las Vegas headlined by fellow bantamweights Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt, who square off in the five round main event on May 29.
