Adlan Amagov injured and out of fight against Jason High

Welterweight knockout artist Adlan Amagov has been forced out of his upcoming bout at UFC Fight Night in Atlanta against Jason High following an injury suffered in training.

Sources close to the fight confirmed Amagov's withdraw to FOX Sports on Tuesday after an initial report from Russian site MMABoxing.ru surfaced this week.

Amagov was entering the card on a three fight win streak, the most recent of which was a devastating knockout over T.J. Waldburger at UFC 166 in Houston.

Training out of Greg Jackson's gym in New Mexico, Amagov has become one of the most talked about prospects brought over after Strikeforce folded earlier in the year, but his next bout will have to wait until another date in 2014.

The nature of his injury or how long Amagov will be sidelined is unknown at this time.

UFC officials have yet to announced a change to the fight so it's likely matchmaker Joe Silva is still searching for a replacement to face High on the upcoming January card.
