World Cup 2022 highlights: Croatia beats Canada, 4-1

2': That was fast!
Canada came out breathing fire. In the opening moments, forward Alphonso Davies punched in a header for the first goal of the game, giving Canada the early 1-0 edge and its first-ever World Cup goal.

26': Goal called off
Croatia thought it evened up the score when forward Andrej Kramarić sliced and diced his way to a successful score, but the goal was ruled offside.
36': This one counts!
Ten minutes after having a goal ruled offside, Kramarić was able to punch in Croatia's first goal of the day, tying the match at one apiece.

44': Lead change
Shortly after getting on the board, Croatia took the lead when forward Marko Livaja powered in its second goal. Croatia led 2-1 at halftime.

49': A little wide
Canada scored in the blink of an eye to begin the game, but it has since been a struggle to score. It had an opportunity to do so, though, early in the second half, but midfielder Jonathan Osorio's shot was a tad to the left.
54': Keeping it close
Canada goalkeeper Milan Borjan came up with a superb save to keep the deficit at one goal.
70': The Kramarić show
Kramarić snuck a goal into the left side of the net for his second score of the game. It gave Croatia a two-goal lead.

90+4': One more for good measure
Croatia got a fast break and put another goal on the board. Lovro Majer's breakaway goal, which was assisted by Mislav Oršić, gave Croatia a 4-1 lead, which would be the final score.
