We're still in title race - Terry

The Blues were convincing 4-0 winners over Bolton at the Reebok Stadium, with Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Nicolas Anelka and Ramires getting the goals. The result leaves Carlo Ancelotti's team seven points behind leaders Manchester United having played a game more. But the current champions have yet to face United - and Terry believes wins in those two matches could prove decisive in the title race. The England defender told Sky Sports: "In the past we've never given up. "Manchester United are playing well at the moment and getting the right results, maybe getting a bit of luck too. "But things can change and if we can win both games against them we'll be right back in it." Terry continued: "Away from home, at times we have shown very good form this season but tonight everything went really well for us. "Didier got us off to good start with probably the best goal of this season so far and we worked really hard all over the park. We stopped Bolton playing and it worked for us." Ramires' goal was his first for the club and Terry added: "The lads are delighted for him. "He has settled in well and although he is still struggling with the language he's a good lad who works really hard. He's found his feet now and hopefully he can keep going." Drogba, whose goal was a long-range swerving effort which flew over Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaskelainen, said: "I was in a good position to have a good so I took my chance - I had the confidence to try. "You have to try if you want to score and the manager said 'shoot if you have a chance'. Maybe I have been thinking too much about things before." On another title, the Ivory Coast international striker added: "I think it would be the best achievement in my six years here - but we have to think of the next game. "It's good we are playing Manchester United twice - but we will have to win all our games and see what happens." Ancelotti said: "I think we've turned the corner. We are playing good football with a good attitude and a good mentality. The performance was very good and now I think we are coming back to fight for everything. "It is not easy to close the gap but we have to try. We are playing well and are in good condition, so we will try to do everything to close the gap." On Drogba, the manager added: "He has trained very well and has had a fantastic attitude in the last week. He deserved this performance and scored a fantastic goal." And on a proposed deal for Benfica's David Luiz, the Italian told Sky Sports News: "We are trying to find a solution. "He's a very good young player but we have not agreed anything. He is the only signing we are trying to make but if it's not possible, nothing changes." Bolton boss Owen Coyle acknowledged the quality of Chelsea's finishing but was disappointed with his team's defending as their run extended to just a single point from five Premier League games. He said: "We gifted them each and every goal. Gretar (Steinsson) had a poor touch and was punished severely for the first goal. We could have had two goalies in and I'd suggest you wouldn't keep it out. "The second goal came from a corner which was not cleared and we paid a heavy price for bad decision making - the third goal our skipper passed the ball to them. "They got the bounce of the ball, it didn't go for us tonight. But to give up our terrific home record tonight is something we're disappointed with. "We've had as many chances as them tonight but they're clinical and that's why they're champions. "It's hard to take but you can either feel sorry for yourself or get up tomorrow morning ready to do something about it. That's what we'll do. "Take nothing away from Chelsea, their finishing was top class - but there was no way four goals between the teams."
