Werder striker Pizarro out for three weeks

Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro will be out for three weeks after tearing a muscle in his right hamstring.

The Bundesliga club says Pizarro suffered the injury in training on Wednesday.

Werder coach Thomas Schaaf says Pizarro's absence will be a ''hard blow.'' It's Pizarro's third similar injury this season.

Werder has lost three straight games in the Bundesliga and faces inform Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
