Werder Bremen stay on board with Germania

German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen have continued their partnership with the Germania airline until at least 2018.

Under the new two-year deal, the Berlin-based carrier remains a regional, fifth-level sponsor of the team and will continue to receive advertising on LED pitchside perimeter boards inside Bremen’s Weserstadion.

Germania, which also holds contracts with German third-tier sides SC Preussen Münster and VfL Osnabrück, initially signed a one-year contract with Bremen last September. That deal was due to run until the end of June.

Financial terms of the renewal have not been divulged.

Bremen, who also have an advertising deal with Turkish Airlines, sit 16th in the Bundesliga table and in danger of relegation after 21 games played.
