We can't let them bombard us! Wolves fans preview Newcastle game
Newcastle United play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday in the Championship.
The Midlands side will make the trip up north twice in four days as they take on the Magpies on Tuesday in the EFL Cup.
United defeated Queens Park Rangers 6-0 during the week, while Wolves fell 4-0 to Barnsley and aren’t in the best of form.
They have only won two games all season – but they have some good players and can’t be written off already.
Fans of Walter Zenga’s team are previewing the clash with mixed feelings – but there is a tacit admission of the Magpies’ qualities.
“We need to go at Newcastle, and not let them bombard us for 90 mins,” said Dan Preston on Twitter – while Birmingham Main pundit Ryan Leister agreed.
“If #Wolves invite NUFC on for 90mins it could get messy,” he said. “Two holding allows #wwfc to absorb & break with pace.”
A counter-attacking state of mind seems to be the way to go for the away team – and account WZ added: “Play defensive&counter attack football tomorrow.

“Costa & Cavaleiro on the wings with pace, Teixeira for the creativity & JDB to finish it.”
After their 4-0 home drubbing, confidence isn’t exactly at sky high for fans of the Molineux Stadium club.
“Newcastle away tomorrow! Not expecting much after Tuesdays display. But this is Wolves were talking about,” added Stu.
Meanwhile, Icelandic striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has said he has no doubt that the team will bounce back on Saturday.
The Express and Star reported that he said: ” We will bounce back. It was a hard kick in the butt – sometimes that’s necessary in football and makes you better for the next games.
“It’s a long season and it’s just important to bounce back and show the character of the team.
“It was a little bit of a shock. There wasn’t much talk (in the dressing room). Every individual of the team was just thinking about how it went so wrong and focusing on trying to get an explanation.”
