Watke says Vidal will guarantee Bayern title for next two years
Borussia Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke believes Bayern Munich have already sewn up the Bundesliga title for the next two years with the capture of Arturo Vidal.
The Bavarians confirmed on Thursday morning that a deal has been reached with Juventus to sign the Chile captain, provided he passes a medical.
Juve's general director Giuseppe Marotta this week revealed Vidal had asked to leave the club after four straight title-winning seasons.
Watzke also predicted the signing of the 28-year-old midfielder will help Bayern widen the gulf between themselves and the rest of the German league.
"He's got a warrior's mentality and that is combined with great footballing quality," Watzke told Germany's dpa agency. "That's a huge transfer for Bayern and it's certainly going to do them good.
"The question as to who will win the title this season need not even be asked.
"Bayern are going to become the first club to be crowned champions of Germany four times in a row, and it's probably going to be five the following year."
