Watch: Romelu Lukaku's unbelievable missed sitter for Belgium
First, the good for Romelu Lukaku: He scored a goal and Belgium cruised to a 4-0 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina in World Cup qualifying on Friday.
The bad: He turned in one of the misses of the year, one that surely made Belgium assistant coach Thierry Henry cringe.
Lukaku, facing an empty net from point-blank range, somehow put a chance over the bar, missing an absolute sitter. On a 2-v-1 situation, Yannick Carrasco put a short cross on a platter for Lukaku, who over-hit the opportunity in the 66th minute and Belgium leading 3-0 at the time. In Lukaku's slight defense, goalkeeper Asmir Begovic was rotating in his direction and lunged at him, which could have altered his touch.
Lukaku made up for it 13 minutes later, scoring for the third time in two World Cup qualifying matches and icing the match, which was expected to be one of Belgium's toughest tests in Group H.
Lukaku has five goals in six Premier League games for Everton this season, and Belgium sits atop its group with six points in two qualifiers, outscoring its two opponents 7-0 in the process.
