Watch QPR's Junior Hoilett disappear into a hole

Championship side Queens Park Rangers slipped to a 3-2 home defeat to Middlesbrough this weekend, but that's nothing compared to the fall Junior Hoilett endured during the match.

In the second half, the Canada international attempted a slide down by the goalline to keep the ball in play and set up one of his teammates in the penalty box, and ended up sliding right down the camera pit next to the goal!

We've heard of players "disappearing" out of games, but Hoilett just took that way too literally.

Hoilett was unhurt and finished the game, so we can all laugh about it now. But perhaps QPR should find a better spot for those camera pits? That really does not look safe at all, and it's a surprise this doesn't happen at Loftus Road more often.

Soccer players disappearing into camera pits is always funny, though, and yes it's happened before. Coritiba forward Joel gave us this gem a couple years ago when his goal celebration went horribly, hilariously wrong:
