Watch Jelle Van Damme nutmeg a defender to set up Giovani Dos Santos

In the thick of the playoffs, it had been a relatively lackluster affair at the StubHub Center on Sunday as the LA Galaxy hosted the Colorado Rapids. Neither side had many especially great chances and a goal didn't feel too imminent. That is, until Jelle Van Damme took control of the situation:

Yes, this is that Jelle Van Damme, whose life as a centerback means he has probably been nutmegged far more than he has ever done it to anyone else. He nutmegged the heck out of Colorado Rapids midfielder Micheal Azira and if you look real closely, you can see Azira's life flash before his eyes.

Van Damme then just gives a little inside-of-the-foot flick of the ball to Giovani Dos Santos, and boom. Dos Santos' down-driving header was going in, but a deflection from Axel Sjoberg, who was trying to clear it out, gave Rapids goalkeeper Tim Howard no chance to stop it.

And just like that, Van Damme pulled off one of the nicest assists of the MLS playoffs so far.
