Watch Andrea Pirlo and David Villa combine for a world-class goal

At 34 and 37, respectively, David Villa and Andrea Pirlo may be entering the twilight of their careers, but time and again, they continue to deliver the goods.

Through their second full season together in Major League Soccer, both have experienced mixed results -- Pirlo has openly criticized the league for its style of play and has struggled to adapt to the physical nature game in-and game-out, while Villa has poured in the goals at an alarming rate.

When the two lined up against Orlando City on Sunday, both rolled back the clock and collaborated to produce a truly world-class goal to put New York City FC 2-0 up on the Lions and send Yankee Stadium into a frenzy.

From one World Cup winner to another. So. Pretty.

Unfortunately for Patrick Vieira's side, who were looking to shake off last week's 7-0 humbling at the hands of rivals New York Red Bulls, the two-goal cushion was not enough. Villa wasted a glorious opportunity to extend the hosts' lead to 3-0 after slipping and missing from the penalty spot before Orlando City clawed their way back with two goals in the final 18 minutes to secure a 2-2 draw.

The result kept NYCFC two points adrift of top spot in the Eastern Conference, while Orlando salvaged a joint-highest seventh draw of the season.
