Watch Alexis Sanchez engineer two gorgeous goals in two minutes for Chile
Alexis Sanchez wasted precious little time getting Chile going against Venezuela on Tuesday with two magnificent goals. The first, a stellar free kick, put Chile on the board in the fifth minute.

It doesn't get more pinpoint than that. La Vinotinto goalkeeper Wuilker Farinez had no recourse but to sit there and pick the ball out of his own net. Sanchez wasn't content to sit back on the early lead, though. The 28-year-old pulled the strings on an eye-watering team move to double the lead just minutes later.

The weight on that pass to Charles Aranguiz — who made a brilliant run — is just rude. Aranguiz then slotted the ball over for an Esteban Paredes tap in. Just like that, Chile were up 2-0 in seven minutes. Sanchez came up huge again to help Chile pick up their third goal of the first half, too.
A goal and two assists, all in a single half. It's safe to say Sanchez was himself Tuesday evening.
