Villa sets Barca points target
Striker David Villa believes Barcelona - who face Real Sociedad on Sunday - may need 100 points to win the Primera Division this season.
That means the champions have dropped just five points all season, but Villa knows they cannot afford to be over-confident against in-form Sociedad.
"The game against Real could be a trap if we are over-confident," he said. "But that won't happen.
"In a league in which we can get to and may need 100 points, every game is important."
Villa has a good scoring record against Sociedad, having netted six goals in eight games against the Basque outfit, and the Spain frontman hopes to continue that run on Sunday.
"I will be looking to maintain that level at the Nou Camp," he said.
Barca have just announced a big-money shirt sponsorship deal for next season with the Qatar Foundation.
The agreement, said to be for around 165million euros over five campaigns, will see the club use a shirt sponsor for the first time, and will complement the club's alliance with Unicef.
The deal has drawn criticism from former Barca president Joan Gaspart, but Villa believes it will be beneficial to the club.
"What's good for the club is good for us as well," he said.
Barca coach Guardiola rested a host of first-team players for Tuesday night's 2-0 Champions League win over Russian side Rubin Kazan.
With the Catalans already confirmed as group winners, Guardiola left out Victor Valdes, Carles Puyol, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Pedro, Dani Alves and Villa, while Lionel Messi appeared only as a late substitute.
All look set to return at the Nou Camp on Sunday, with only Gabi Milito missing through injury.
Barca have won their last eight Primera Division matches and beat Madrid 5-0 in their last league game at home.
Sociedad, meanwhile, have lost their last 12 matches at Barca's famous home, where they have picked up nothing at all since a 1-1 draw in 1995.
Nevertheless, the Basque side are enjoying a positive return to the top flight after three years in the Segunda Division.
They head into the weekend in sixth place with 22 points, having won six of their last seven matches, and coach Martin Lasarte believes victory is not beyond his team on Sunday.
"Impossibles don't exist," he told Marca TV. "The team that thinks it is untouchable will lose on Sunday."
Lasarte welcomes back striker Raul Tamudo from injury for Sunday's game.
Tamudo, often a thorn in Barca's side as an Espanyol player, is likely to start on the bench at the Nou Camp, while Borja Viguera is also back in contention.
