Vieira rises to top-four challenge
Manchester City midfielder Patrick Vieira insists he can respond to Roberto Mancini's challenge and guide the Blues to a top-four finish.
Mancini admitted last week that he had been disappointed by Vieira's performances since his January arrival from Inter Milan.
Former Arsenal captain Vieira rose to the challenge by enjoying his best game for the club and scoring his first goal in the 6-1 demolition of Burnley.
Vieira believes he is now close to getting back to his best after arriving at Eastlands with a number of niggling injury problems.
"When I arrived I wasn't physically at the top but I'm getting better," Vieira told The Sun.
"Hopefully I can help the team to achieve what we really want."
City are currently in fourth spot and Vieira believes they are good enough to stay there until the end of the season.
"As a team we are maybe more complete than the others. In every position we're strong," added Vieira.
