Victor Sanchez leaves Barcelona

Barcelona and Victor Sanchez have mutually agreed to rescind the midfielder's contract, the European champion has announced.

The 23-year-old played 14 first-team games between 2007-09 with Barca before being sent out on loan for the last two campaigns, first with Xerez and then last season with Getafe.

Barca have retained the right to buy back Sanchez until the 2012 winter transfer market, as well as a percentage of any further transfer payment.
