UVA player beats five defenders by himself to score golden golazo

UVA took on Vermont in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament, and with the match tied at 1-1 in the 103rd minute, it needed something special to keep this one from going to penalties.

Enter Pablo Aguilar.

The announcer says it best: unbelievable.

There's some questionable defending from Vermont, but it takes absolutely nothing away from Aguilar's effort on this one. First, the fantastic feet, using the croqueta to beat his man on the turn, then the visionary cut in between three players and audacious outside-of-the-boot finish. It's spectacular. It's the type of goal you dream about scoring, and especially at such a crucial juncture.

UVA had to come from behind after going down 1-0 in the 62nd minute but came back thanks to a 76th-minute goal from Paddy Foss and Aguilar's one-man show in double overtime. It wasn't the first time Aguilar's saved the Cavaliers, as he leads the team with seven goals on the year, and has scored the game-winning goal in each of UVA's last three victories.

Next up, the 12th seeded Cavaliers will travel to the West Coast to take on 5th-seeded Stanford in the Round of 16.
