USWNT to finish year vs. Brazil
The United States women's national team will finish the year with a game against archrival Brazil.
The top-ranked Americans will play Brazil on Nov. 10 in Orlando, Fla. It's the first time the teams have met in the United States since July 2008, when the Americans won 1-0 in a tuneup game for the Beijing Olympics. The U.S. met Brazil again the next month in the gold-medal game, a 1-0 overtime victory that gave the Americans the second of three straight Olympic titles.
Three years later, the teams played an epic game in the quarterfinals of the Women's World Cup. Abby Wambach tied the score in the final seconds of overtime, and the Americans went on to win on penalty kicks.
The U.S. is 24-2-3 against Brazil.
