USA takes on New Zealand in final tune-up before World Cup qualifying Hex

The U.S. men's national team has 90 minutes of game time left before the final round of World Cup qualifying begins, and it'll aim to make the most of them when hosting New Zealand at Washington, D.C.'s RFK Stadium Tuesday night (8 p.m. ET, ESPN, UniMas).

The Americans are coming off a 2-0 win at Cuba, with Chris Wondolowski and Julian Green scoring the goals, and they'll be hoping to improve on a 2-0-0 all-time record against the All Whites, whom they have not played since 2003.

New Zealand, the favorite to seize the Oceania region's World Cup qualifying playoff berth, is coming off a 2-1 loss to Mexico on Saturday, snapping a 10-game unbeaten run (all against Oceania or Asian Confederation competition), with Marco Rojas scoring an equalizer a minute into the second half before Marco Fabian scored the game-winner 10 minutes later.
