US midfielder Dempsey talks to Fulham about future
U.S. midfielder Clint Dempsey says he talking to Fulham about his future with the Premier League club with one season remaining on his deal.
Dempsey scored Fulham's only goal in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Monday. He scored twice during Saturday's 3-0 win at Bolton, giving him 22 goals this season. That raises the prospect of him being lured by another team from ninth-place Fulham.
Dempsey says he is talking with Fulham, but ''we will have to see what happens in the summer.'' The Texan insists he wants to ''focus on this season and my football and other stuff can take care of itself after the season.''
By taking his league total to 16 goals, Dempsey has surpassed Louis Saha's club record of 13 set in 2004.
