UFC fighter challenges Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 'I'd like to see him in the Octagon'

It's not very often you'd imagine anybody having the audacity to challenge Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a fight, but that's exactly what UFC welterweight Danny Roberts did ahead of UFC 204 on Saturday. The event is being held in Manchester, England, and Roberts took the opportunity to call out Ibrahimovic after hearing the Man United forward is actually a black belt in taekwondo.

"I didn't know that," Roberts said about Ibrahimovic's martial arts experience, via The Mirror. "Yeah I'd like to see him in the Octagon, see what he's got," Roberts said with a smile.

The UFC fighter also acknowledged the spectacle if the whole charade were to ever come to fruition (newsflash: it won't), saying, "at the same time it would probably add a little bit more value to us and what we do. So, yeah. If he's willing to fight, I'm here."

It might be a surprise to find out that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a black belt in taekwondo, but when you see him kick a ball it all makes sense. The Korean martial art has an emphasis on head-high kicks, jump kicks, spinning kicks and, well, pretty much all forms of kicking. It's a perfect hobby for a professional soccer player!

The idea of a fight is clearly just a gag, but here's the tale of the tape for giggles:

Danny "Hot Chocolate" Roberts
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 170 lb
Age: 29

Zlatan "Norse God" Ibrahimovic
Height: 6' 5"
Weight: 209
Age: 35

So, who ya got?
