Town target Beye loan move

Beye has found himself frozen out of things at Villa and has been training with the reserves recently. The former Newcastle and Marseille star has not featured for Villa since the Carling Cup win over Burnley in October. The Frenchman, 33, is keen to move on loan in a bid to get regular first-team football and Sky Sports understands that Ipswich are ready to offer him that chance at Portman Road. Town boss Paul Jewell is keen to bolster his squad and he sees Beye's versatility in that he can play at full-back and centre-back as a key addition to his side.
