Toon make Larsson move - Report
The 25-year-old is out of contract at St Andrew's in the summer, and several clubs in England and Spain are interested in taking him on a Bosman free transfer at the end of the season. However, the Midlands side are keen not to lose him for free and so now appear ready to sell him this month. The Magpies have now made their move and lodged their interest with Birmingham on Thursday. Blues are now considering whether to let Larsson go, but Newcastle's move could see rival Premier League clubs come in. Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, Blackburn, Bolton and Sunderland all have an interest in Larsson and could very well rival the approach from the North-East side. However, it is understood that Larsson could yet opt for a move abroad, but that will not stop the Premier League clubs from trying to persuade him to continue his career in England.
