Toffees target will stay - Deschamps

Ben Arfa and midfield colleague Mathieu Valbuena have been frequently linked with transfers after failing to nail down their places in Deschamps' starting XI during the early part of the season. But, having restored the players to the first team, Deschamps is sure he can get the best out of the pair and expects them to remain at the Stade Velodrome. "The issue for the duo of Ben Arfa and Valbuena was game time and I understand their disappointment they do not get that," he told L'Equipe. "(But) they like me, they have pace and they have given a boost to this team. They will stay. I have no doubt at all about their involvement." Despite those words, Valbuena appears less confident of his long-term future with OM. He said: "As for my future, we'll see. Today I am 100% with Marseille and I work hard because there are things to do here. But we do not know what tomorrow will bring."
