Taylor's boost for Newcastle

Newcastle defender Steven Taylor says there is no chance of him seeking a summer move - because he is still "living the dream" at St James' Park.

The academy product was a consistent performer during a disappointing last campaign and has reportedly caught the eye of Arsenal, Fulham and Marseille.

But though fellow stopper Fabricio Coloccini's Tyneside future remains in the balance, Taylor insists he remains settled on Tyneside.

"Being at Newcastle is the best thing that has ever happened to me," Taylor, who has three years to run on his current contract, told The Chronicle.

"I am still living the dream of every young lad that is in this city.

"I still cannot describe the feeling when you walk over that line in front of 52,000 fans in a stadium like ours.

"It is what I have always wanted to do. I have to keep pinching myself."
