Szczesny eyes Dortmund revenge

The Gunners suffered a humiliating 8-2 thumping at Old Trafford 15 days ago with 21-year-old Szczesny between the sticks. That thrashing meant the young keeper received stick from Dortmund trio Lukasz Piszczek, Robert Lewandowski and Jakub Blaszczykowski while on duty with Poland for the recent internationals. And he is determined to gain revenge when Arsenal travel to Germany for their Champions League opener against the Bundesliga champions on Tuesday night. Asked whether there had been any teasing from his compatriots, Szczesny told The Sun: "There has been a little bit, I'm not going to lie. "I think two of them will be playing on Tuesday and the one who was the loudest, Jakub, will be on the bench. "They've been taking the mickey out of the 8-2 defeat but they can't get into my head. I will be focused. I hope after the game I will be the one who comes out on top with the banter." The Gunners have endured a slow start to the new campaign, taking just four points from their opening four Premier League games. But Szczesny remains certain the North Londoners can finish in the top four this season and challenge for the title. He added: "I'm confident we can achieve a top-four finish and I'm also confident that, if we stick together and do the right things, we will be title contenders."
